Roasted Softshell Pine Nuts

We have a unique way of slow roasting our softshell pine nuts where we dry roast the nuts at a low temperature until most of their internal moisture is removed, making them nice and crunchy while still leaving juuust the right amount of softness. We then lightly salt the outside shell which gives them a savory and salty flavor on the outside, and a nutty and slightly sweet flavor on the inside. All while maintaining the phenomenal pinyon pine flavor they have when they are raw.

These have a very distinct and separate flavor profile from our roasted piñon (piñon has more of a rich buttery flavor, and less of a sweet pine flavor), but they've been a huge hit with our roadside customers and offer a very unique flavor in comparison to most traditional home-roasted pine nuts.

Our softshell pine nuts are hand-harvested in their cones in the mountains of Utah and Nevada. They are cleaned and sorted for quality, but otherwise, this is a 100% wild-grown product.
